Background: The concept of this product has been in the works for over three years. How can we showcase hockey history in a unique yet sophisticated manner? With this help of a watch craftsman we solved the puzzle on how to upcycle historic used hockey sticks into classic timepieces.

This limited edition watch is constructed using the iconic 1982 Northland Crackshot hockey stick.

Why we chose this stick: Northland was America’s oldest and largest manufacturer until its closure in the early 1990s. Northland started up in 1917 producing skis in Minnesota, but moved over to hockey stick production in the 1930s using the same ash lumber. Northland grew exponentially and by the 1960s Northland enjoyed over half the domestic (U.S.) hockey market. Their sticks were being used by amateurs and pros alike such as Gordie Howe, Phil Esposito, Andy Bathgate and more. The Northland Crackshot was one of the most recognized sticks of the era because for many, it was the “gateway” stick to a long and treasured hockey career. We have a strong appreciation for what it represents- a connection to legends of the game and the public who adored them.

Limited Edition: Only 25 of this design are available for purchase based on the available wood material in the stick.
