Back with a new batch of custom watches for 2025-2026!
Background: The concept of this product has been in the works for over three years. How can we showcase hockey history in a unique yet sophisticated manner? With this help of a watch craftsman we solved the puzzle on how to upcycle historic used hockey sticks into classic timepieces.
This limited edition watch is constructed using the iconic 1962 McNiece's Sherwood hockey stick employed by famous NHLers and the public they inspired.
Why we chose this stick: We knew we had to grab a Sherwood stick with our next custom watch batch, but we got lucky when we got our hands on a historic McNiece's Sherwood. McNiece and Orchard were one of the last major wood stick manufacturers of the early stickbuilding industry (pre-1930s). They had a location in both Montreal and New York. McNiece's was acquired in 1932 by Hespeler but they kept their name on sticks for the next few decades. This particular stick is representative of the merging of the early wood hockey stick industry, and we chose to showcase this stick in the most popular wood + black steel combination from our first batch.
Limited Edition: Only 25 of this design are available for purchase based on the available wood material in the stick. Sticks come with a engraved wood watch box and simple card showcasing the watches place in the collection (#/25).
