What accommodations nearby (hotels, Airbnb, etc.)? For hockey enthusiasts, the most coveted accommodation choice is our four-bed cottages, offering picturesque views of Glacial Lake and Mirror Lake, and located just steps away from the official rinks.

What makes this one unique? What sets it apart? The ice and the rink set up is one of the best in the state. Sand Valley has a team of people that take care of our greens in the summer, and our rinks in the winter.

Third Assist's Take: The ice and rink set up being one of the best in the state may sound like a bold claim, but after seeing photos and videos from the resort's website we can safely say the Sand County Classic holds up to it. Just check out the link below. As a small business we're fans of the smaller, local tournaments just getting underway in the last couple of years. Momentum is building and for good reason: once you discover a setup and amenities like this- and don't have to share it with thousands of others- you'll keep coming back year after year.

Fun Fact: The founder of Third Assist daylights as a wildlife biologist. Sand County was immediately familiar due to the "Sand County Almanac". This is one of the most famous wildlife books of the last century and it was written just south of this location in Wisconsin. One more reason to check out the area if you're a nature nerd.
