Background: You could say Alaska is the birthplace of Third Assist. Our founders were born in the state's largest city (Anchorage) and the connections to the state continue to run strong to this day. For that reason, we knew it was too easy to go simply for the Alaska state flag. You can already find gold and navy big dippers in many hockey circles. Therefore we chose another route for inspiration: The Alaska license plate.

The original bear design was found on the 1976 Alaska Bicentennial plates and residents loved it so much the design was brought back in 2015 using the colors represented in this sweater concept. While the bear has been slightly modified stylistically from the original design, the iconic symbol will continue to represent the 49th (number) state for years to come!

The fit: These t-shirts have-ribbed knit collars to bolster shaping. The shoulders have taping for better fit over time. Dual side seams hold the garment's shape for longer. Runs true to size.

Please note: We do not accept exchanges or returns on our tees and sweatshirts, unless there is a notable defect. Each shirt is printed on demand by the order. Also there's not a notable markup on this item, but we've decided to offer it based on requests for a more affordable state pride alternative to our state sweaters. Thanks for your understanding.
