What makes this one unique? What sets it apart?

It's the only pond hockey tournament hosted in South Dakota & it's a fundraiser for a new youth program in the Black Hills (Northern Hills Chinook).

Third Assist's Take: This tournament has a couple things going for it in our eyes: 1) It's hard not to get behind an event that goes towards supporting and growing local youth hockey. Play hockey to build hockey? Easy choice. 2) If you've followed our spotlights you know we dig the sweet spot between the first year of a tournament and one that's been going a decade strong. This is still a modest tournament in terms of numbers, but it's been done and vouched for in the local community. 3) Not sure the last time you googled "Black Hills" but if it's been a while, do it now. The nearby Black Hills are an island of mountains and biodiversity worth a trip on its own. Tack on a hockey tournament nearby and it's a cherry on top.
